Naturparkhaus Zittauer Gebirge (Zittau Mountains Nature Park House)

The Zittau Mountains Nature Park House (Naturparkhaus Zittauer Gebirge) sits opposite the church in the historic "Niederkretscham" building in the village of Waltersdorf.

The building houses the Großschönau tourist information centre, the main information hub for all guests and visitors to the nature park. It also features a beautifully-designed interactive exhibition which showcases the origins, history, and ecosystem of Germany’s 100th designated nature park, inviting both adults and children on a well-thought-out journey of discovery through the park, but indoors.

"Learn inside – discover outside" is the motto of the interactive exhibition at the Zittau Mountains Nature Park House, where visitors embark on a voyage of discovery that engages all their senses. And to earn their Junior Park Ranger badge, young explorers can answer the questions set by the "exhibition elves" inside the building and out in the garden of the nature park.
