Stefan Busch, known as Buschi, has Down syndrome and lives a fairly uneventful life in an assisted living group. He is fascinated by water and speaks to no one. During an excursion, he slips away and spontaneously joins a Japanese tour group. On this unusual road trip through Germany, Switzerland, and Japan, a gentle friendship begins between Buschi and the silent Mr. Kitamura. A wonderfully light-footed, sensitive, and (often) funny road movie about the shared experience of being an outsider, small shared moments, and friendship beyond words. Impressive: Aladdin Detlefsen in his first leading role.
