“Kommen und Gehen” – The Six-City League Festival

Since 2018, the festival has established itself as an experimental sound field for Upper Lusatia: Classical music meets sound art, early music meets electronics, archival work meets improvisation. It is a classical, but not a classical music festival and keeps asking the question: How does the region sound? In 2026, Löbau moves to the center, once a convention city of the historic Six-City League and a place of political understanding. Under the guiding theme “Center Point,” the festival explores responsibility, cohesion, and cultural identity: What does the center mean in a time of fragmentation? Between Renaissance, Baroque, and Post-Pop, between regional tradition and international perspectives, a polyphonic musical discourse emerges.
