Discover the stories of Bedřichov with historian Lubor Lacina. These guided walks will take you to places connected with glassmaking tradition, spiritual history, and the daily life of this mountain village.
Guided walk titled In the Footsteps of the Glassmakers
Follow in the footsteps of the glassmakers who penetrated the mountain forest at the end of the 16th century, founded a glassworks, and laid the foundations of today's Bedřichov. A settlement gradually formed around the glassworks, which grew into an important mountain community. Although the glassworks ceased to exist at the beginning of the 19th century, its legacy is still visible in the village.
During the approximately 90-minute walk, we will visit the remains of the original glassworks and learn about the operation of grinding shops and water channels that supplied the village with water and energy. The tour offers an interesting look at the glassmaking tradition and the historical development of Bedřichov.
