Intuitive landscape on linen fabric | June 20 | 13:00–16:00 | with Markéta Váchalová Vojtíšková

Experience a calming afternoon with linen fabric, natural dyes, drawing, and embroidery. Allow yourself to slow down, perceive the material, and create your own textile landscape – without pressure, with attention to your own expression.

The workshop is open to complete beginners and is based primarily on the intuitive process of creation, the joy of working with hands, and a sensitive relationship to the material. Each participant will take home their own original textile object.

Bonus: for workshop participants, the subsequent guided tour of the Svitky/megilot exhibition with M. Váchalová Vojtíšková from 4:00 PM is free!

Watercolor workshop with a demonstration of natural dyes | June 6 | 10:00–15:00 | with Marie Ladrová

What happens when nature provides colors and art gives them form? Professional painter Marie Ladrová will introduce you to the production and use of natural dyes and the philosophy of watercolor. Delve into the technique of painting on a wet background and take away not just your own painting, but a new perspective on the colors of nature.

The workshop is intended for beginners and advanced participants from 15 years of age. The maximum number of participants is 12. Bring watercolor brushes if you have them – otherwise, we will lend them. A snack and your own seat cushion (in case of painting en plein air) will also come in handy.

Willow basket weaving | May 23 | 10:00–16:00 | with Radim and Pavlína Váchová

A one-day basket weaving course, at the end of which each participant will take home from the Sýpka at least their own handmade basket. You will be guided by experienced basket weavers, husband and wife Radim
and Pavlína Váchová.

Willow twigs are included in the price; we will work with peeled and soaked twigs. Bring work clothes or an apron and, if possible, tools: sharp gardening shears and a knife.

Suitable for children from 12 years old. The ideal number of participants is 10-12.

Whether you will be weaving, dyeing, spinning, redesigning, or discovering the materials of the future – all these meetings have one thing in common: presence, attention, and the joy of your own creative process.

We look forward to spending moments together at the Sýpka!

The project was supported by the Liberec Region and Mr. Zdeněk Rossmann.
