This film tells the story of 90s entertainment television for the first time from a female perspective. Maren Kroymann, Hella von Sinnen, Bettina Böttinger, Gaby Köster, and Esther Schweins look back on their work and a time when women on television were primarily just window dressing, served as props for sexist punchlines, and female humor was considered a ratings killer. An entire generation was thus shaped primarily by male entertainers – "Wetten, dass...?", the "Harald Schmidt Show", and later "TV total". An illuminating, exciting journey through time that often leaves you speechless today given the "normality" of back then.
